Civmec is a large industrial company located in the shipping precinct that specialise in large scale fabrication, construction and engineering. They required Media Engine to produce new photography for promotional materials.

The main focus of this photography shoot was the staff and capturing them both in posed scenarios and actual working scenarios whether it was welding, loading on to a cargo ship, reception and engineering. Another key aspect was to capture photos of one of their more recently constructed modular assemblies.

The photography taken utilises a high depth of field to help bring focus onto the subject and blurs out the background elements. This provides a mixture of sharp and soft textures that help compliment the subject. Another technique we used in this shoot is tilt shift photography, which allows us to take photographs of extremely large structures without the extreme fisheye distortion typical of standard photography. It can also create an amazing blurred vignette that frames the photo.
